Square numbers
A square number is the result of multiplying a whole number by itself. Every whole number can be multiplied by itself to give a square number.
1 x 1 = 1 2 x 2 = 4 3 x 3 = 9
So 1, 4 and 9 are all square numbers.
The first 10 square numbers 20 are: 1, 4, 9, 16 ,25 , 36, 49, 64, 81, 100
